Jaden Brissett Signs

Basingstoke Town FC are thrilled to announce the signing of attacker Jaden Brissett.  The 23-year-old joins the squad ahead of our trip to Taunton at the weekend.

Jaden arrives after a prolific spell at Southall, where he netted an impressive 35 goals in 47 games last season. His goal-scoring exploits caught the attention of the Hampton & Richmond Borough where he spent pre-season and the early stages of the 24/25 campaign, and now he’s ready to do the business in blue and yellow.

A product of Norwich City’s Academy, Jaden signed his first pro contract at 16 before developing further with Brentford B. Experience at Dagenham & Redbridge, Chesham United, and Hayes & Yeading followed before his move to Southall in 2022.

Dan Brownlie noted:

“Jaden and I first spoke towards the end of last season. Both Aaron and I had watched him in action last year and he was consistently a standout performer. Although he chose to sign for Hampton at the time, our conversations continued, more in the spirit of mutual respect than recruitment. That built a level of trust between us, and when the opportunity arose for him to make a move, he made his interest in joining really clear.”

“He’s prepared to take risks, he’s direct, and always looking to beat his man. He’s got that balance of a modern game winger but has those old-school principles of a wide player: getting at defenders, creating chances, and finding the net himself.”

Everyone connected with the club would like to welcome Jaden to Basingstoke Town FC.
