We are excited to share the news that we have signed Jack Ball for the 2024/25 season!
The imposing defender spent the latter stages of last season on loan from Farnborough with play-off winners Salisbury and played a big role in their promotion earning particular high praise in both play-off games.
Jack shared his excitement in signing: “Having worked with Dan before I knew I would be in good hands, but since arriving at Basingstoke, seeing the set up and meeting the lads, I couldn’t be happier. The club are all pulling in the same direction and have high expectations and a lot of ambition. I’m really focused for the season ahead and equally excited to see what we can achieve as a unit.”
Basingstoke boss Dan Brownlie said “I’ve had the pleasure working with Bally before – and since that point we’ve flirted with the idea of working together again and this year provided that opportunity. Fans will love him. He’s a real warrior, a brilliant personality and someone you instantly warm to.”
“He played both play-off games nursing an injury; which is testament to his character and commitment – but because of that willingness – he’s currently working his way back to fitness. So we’ll see him on the pitch a little later than others during pre-season.”
“He was the best player on the pitch when we faced Salisbury at their place. That style of display was typical of his quality – strong, assured and led from the back. I love working with good people, and Jack is certainly one of them. I’m really looking forward to working with him again and I’ve no doubt that the fans will love him.”
Welcome to Basingstoke Town, Jack!
