Dan Warre Moves On

We can announce the departure of Dan Warre who has decided to take on a new challenge with a new club at Step 4 following a seven-day approach. While we’re sad to see him leave, we proud of what Dan achieved with us whilst here.

Dan has been a popular figure both on and off the pitch. He’s been a valued part of our team, contributing significantly in the early stages of the season especially with a string of goals including the opening day fixture away at Plymouth Parkway.

As Dan Brownlie noted

“When we signed Dan, he was a gamble. A calculated one, but a gamble none the less. We heard of his talent through our friends at Reading City; and whilst it’s a significant jump there was confidence that he’d be able to do it. And he’s demonstrated he absolutely can.”

“Dan has been promised 90 minutes each week and at this moment in time, that’s not something we’ve been able to do for him. We had a good chat and whilst I made it clear I didn’t want him to leave. I understand his reasoning and whilst he made it clear it wasn’t an easy decision as he really enjoyed his time with us. The promise of guaranteed football ultimately won. Who knows what the future holds – he’s a talent and maybe he’ll walk our streets again.”

Thank you, Dan!
