We can confirm that Dan Rowe has made the decision to join Gosport Borough.
Dan joined us at the start of the new campaign having had spells at Hanwell Town and Hampton & Richmond the season before. Dan scored some important goals for us including a brace against what will be his new club, and a notable substitute appearance when he came off the bench to help us earn a point against AFC Totton.
Dan Brownlie noted: “Dan’s been an absolute pleasure to work with – he’s a very gifted footballer and a very likeable guy with strong family values. It’s those values that became part of his decision making; and I’ll never begrudge a person whose first consideration is that of their family and their future. I’m very fond of Dan and everything he represents.”
“Dan’s quality helped us establish ourselves at the level and whilst it was only a brief stay, he became a popular figure on both sides of the railings. I know the fans will be disappointed to lose him; he’s got that level of sharpness that is exciting to watch. We wish him and his family all the very best and we’ll see him back soon – just in the wrong colours!”
Thanks for your efforts whilst in our Basingstoke Town colours, Dan.
