Overview: Basingstoke Town Community Football Club is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to take on the role of Women’s Manager. As the leading football club in North Hampshire, we are committed to progressing women’s football and providing a platform for talented players to thrive and grow. BTFC’s Women’s Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the team’s success on and off the field, fostering a culture of growth, teamwork, and achievement and helping to create a pathway for Basingstoke Town’s growing number of girl’s youth football teams.
With this Manager’s vacancy, this also opens up a position for an Assistant Manager too. We are open to accepting individuals for each role or two people together. Please advise which role you are applying for if either/both positions is of interest of you.
About the Role:
- Reporting to the Community Club Board, BTFC’s Women’s Manager will oversee the Women’s section of the Club.
- Be the lead for all things BTFC Women, including managing any additional required coaches/staff for the team.
- Manage the team on matchdays (Sundays) and during training sessions (Thursdays).
- Ensure administrative duties and compliance tasks are effectively handled.
- Oversee player recruitment and selection, ensuring a strong and competitive squad.
- Conduct trials and assessments to identify potential additions to the squad.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes player development and enjoyment.
- Champion player development; integrating with Basingstoke Town FC Girls teams and their respective Managers to continually improve our girls player pathway.
- Communicate effectively with players, coaches, staff, and the wider Community Club.
- Adhere to Basingstoke Town FC’s football philosophy.
- Training and home matches are played at Winklebury Football Complex.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in a football coaching role – FA Coaching Level 2 minimum preferred
(or Level 1 with sufficient experience) - Excellent coaching, communication, and organisation skills.
- The ability to develop and implement tactical strategies.
- A commitment to creating a positive and successful team culture with the ability to motivate and inspire players.
