Trio Of Signings

Adam Everiss re-signs for Basingstoke Town FC

We can confirm that both Bradley Wilson, Adam Everiss and new signing James Smith have signed forms for the 2020/21 season.

“Adam has come back in decent form and has got to grips with a position that is relatively new to him comparatively to the rest of his non-league career. I’ve worked with Evo for a number of years now and he’s probably played some of his best football during pre-season. I’ve no doubt he can take that into the season. Whilst there are a lot of new additions this season, all the lads from last year were given a good opportunity across pre-season, Evo is one of those who stood up to be counted.”

On Brad Wilson

“Brad is someone we missed when he went over to NZ last year. One of his greatest assets is that he can play a number of positions to a really good level. Brad is as capable at right back as he is centre forward and his more natural position as a wide man. With pace, good aerial ability and decent size, he can plug into most positions. Like Evo, he’s another that will come into his own with better players around him this year.”

On James Smith

“James came to my attention last year when I went to watch someone else that Badshot Lea were playing.  He’s a strong boy and deceptively quick; and he packs real heart. No doubt, he is one of the busiest men alive – his application and desire to be here and for the season to get started is unrivalled. He did however pick up an injury during pre-season; so we’ve not seen too much of him in a Basingstoke shirt, but he has shown real promise and we are pleased to have him on board.”
