The Next Seven Days

Our Town United

Due to the midweek match day happening on a Wednesday, the boys are being called into training on Monday evening in preparation. Physio, Gideon Vallence, will continue to work with Simon Dunn and D’andre Brown. New signing Danny Vickers is due to go for a scan to find the extent of his injury and hopefully offer a rough timeline for his return.

Many of the youth teams will be training at Winklebury Sports in preparation for their own weekends fixtures.

Our U19 National alliance side will host Cirencester at Winklebury in a 2pm Kick Off and our Tactic League side will travel to Bracknell in an 11am Kick Off.

10 days since our last competitive game versus Slimbridge – the boys will head to Bath, Somerset to be ready for a 7.45pm kick off against Larkhall Athletic. A fixture we were unable to play last season due to COVID calling the season short. Aiden Lewis is unlikely to make the journey having picked up a hamstring injury during last Saturday’s win versus Slimbridge and Lloyd Snell is a doubt having picked up an injury midweek. Julian Schwarzer has recovered from a knock that he picked up in the same game.

Basingstoke will embark on one of the longest journeys the Southern League provides as we face Barnstaple in a three o’clock kick off. Basingstoke won the previous fixture in what was a battle at the bottom of the table 2-1 which included a Ben Cook goal direct from a corner.

Basingstoke Women travel to Wight Eagles White Eagles Ladies FC in the Hampshire County Womens Football League with a Kick Off at 2pm.
