We caught up with Dan Brownlie to learn a little more behind the squad going into the game versus Chipstead FC.
“We’ve still got a few bodies missing but we’ve seen significant progress over this past week. Reidy has been doing a lot of strength work before we get him out training but is not a million miles away from being back involved. We hope to have him doing some light work with us at the early stages of next week.”
“Stefan Brown has made huge strides this past week. He’s put in such a great effort, not only when we are training but in his own time with work with Go-Perform in Reading alongside some advanced treatment, but he felt good after Thursday’s session where he was doing some intensive work with Gideon. We know what Stefan will bring to this side, but it’s important, especially being only four league games in, that we get him back in the right way. He’s itching to get playing, but we want to play our cards right and rushing him back is not the way to go about it.”
“Scott is away with family this weekend and with good reason, but would have been unlikely to feature today as he is still nursing an injury following a clash with Portsmouth. He’s a good shout for next weekend assuming recovery goes well this week.”
“Wollers and Dallimore look to have recovered from their knocks which is a massive boost. Obviously Lewis looks set to be out for the season and with the shape we have been playing recently, it was important we restrengthened that area of the park – so bringing in Anton has been a great acquisition for us. It gives us a few options in terms of shape that we can now adopt – so we’re really pleased to bring him in.”
