Hat-Trick Of Signings

A Hat-Trick of Signings for your Friday evening!
Please welcome to the club Julian Schwarzer, Lloyd Snell and Shaun Dallimore. Here’s a little more about our latest signings and quotes from Dan Brownlie.

Julian Schwarzer – Goalkeeper
The 20 year old keeper, previously of Fulham FC and more recently German side FC Pipinsried joins the Basingstoke Keepers Union after impressing over the course of pre-season.

“Julian has really impressed us over pre-season, he’s a top lad and true professional in the way he goes about his work, he’s had a great education in football which we’ll no doubt benefit from. To have two keepers of such high quality in our ranks is a real positive, both Paul and Julian will be working with our keeper coaches Geraint and Lance.”

Lloyd Snell
A product of our youth system and as a club we’re incredibly proud of his development. The 17 year old can play in a plethora of positions including full back and as an attacker, having scored over 30+ goals for our Under 18’s last season.

“I’m really pleased with Lloyd. He’s still got lots to learn as is expected at such a young age, but the rate in which he can process and then implement information is very impressive. He’s got a real talent which we’ll be looking to push even further but he’s been making a name for himself in training and more recently in games – he’s found confidence in his own ability and it’s now our job to ensure that he fulfil his potential.’

Shuan Dallimore
The 30 year old experienced centre-half joins us from Alresford who, were it not for virus, were due to be crowned champions after a highly successful campaign that was cut short.

“I’ve known about Shuan for quite some-time and looked at bringing him in on various occasions but the stars were never aligned. He’s another local Basingstoke lad which of course helps again with the culture and that desire to win for your home-town. He’s got different qualities to what we currently have amongst the ranks; he’s a little more old school which in this league certainly has its place. With Daryl being able to play left back, Scotty being able to play centre halves it gives us good options – we’re hoping to add further quality to our defensive ranks too.”
Julian, Lloyd and Shaun are all available to sponsor via our home & away kit sponsorship. For more details please contact commercial@btfc.co.uk
