Community Club Statement

Club Secretary Martin French has taken the decision to stand down from his position on the board and we thank Martin for the work that he has done and wish him well as he continues his work as Chairman of the Supporters Club.

Katie Oliver will take over the role of Interim Secretary to go alongside her Football Secretary role until board roles are to be decided in the coming weeks.

At Basingstoke Town Community Football Club’s 2021 AGM, all four nominees were successful in joining the Community Club board. Those were Katie Oliver, Mike Gilham, Sarah Parsons and Chris Edwards.

Chris Edwards added “I feel privileged to be joining the board of our town’s football club and am fully prepared to do all I can to contribute to the success of the club not only on the field, but also off it, with a particular focus on joining the cause to return the club to its rightful home at The Camrose.

Being a local Headteacher, my aim is to help Basingstoke Town widen its appeal to an even greater audience, ensuring that all in the town (and beyond) have the opportunity to be able to access regular high quality football at a fantastic facility.  I’ve already been hugely impressed by the commitment and resourcefulness of the current board and am looking forward to playing my part in what I believe to be a very exciting journey ahead.”

Colin Phillimore took the decision not to stand again this year but the club would like to further put on record a thank you to Colin for all his work during his tenure at the Community Club.
