A new year and a renewed focus in getting into our new home at Winklebury. Over the next few weeks we have a series of meetings with Hampshire County Council, Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council and the Hampshire FA to put the final touches to the logistics of the development of Winklebury. That will put us in a good position once planning permission is granted on the site and at that time we will be able to look at what our previous owner Rafi Razzak will do for us and what requirements his property development company Basron will need to fulfil in providing the town with a ‘like for like’ facility due to the loss of our old home, The Camrose.
I would also like to say thank you to the supporters for their sustained coverage of our current plight on social media which, together with local newspaper articles have meant that we have now been able to arrange a meeting with Maria Miller this week to discuss our plans for the club now, next season and beyond and demonstrating how important it is that we have football playing back in the town as soon as possible. We will ensure that we update you again in due course.
Lastly, it is another thank you to the supporters. This is for continuing to travel to Winchester to see your team play football. The weather is wetter and colder but still you are coming and it is impossible for me to put into words what that means to us working behind the scenes, the volunteers and the players. Thank you for your ongoing support, it means the world to us and if any of you want to get more involved as a volunteer, we would love to hear your voice.
