Brownlie Points

We caught up with Dan Brownlie following yesterday’s dramatic win away at Ashford Town FC courtesy of a last minute winner from Academy star Lloyd Snell. “For all our good play in the first half, we managed to made hard work of it in the second – we were disappointed with their second goal as it’s something we’d spoken about during the week. That said, to show the level of resolve, not crack under the… Read More »Brownlie Points

Snells’ Late Winner Seals it for ‘Stoke

Lloyd Snells’ late winner at Ashford Town (Middlesex) moves Basingstoke Town up to 4th place in the Isthmian South Central division. Basingstoke started the better of the sides and on 8 minutes, captain Simon Dunn struck the outside of the post after cutting in neatly from the left. A minute later and ‘Stoke took the lead which began with a great run down the right from Bradley Wilson who delivered an early ball in to… Read More »Snells’ Late Winner Seals it for ‘Stoke

Lynch Goal Keeps ‘Stoke in Touch at the Top

On a sodden night in northwest London, key players returned to the Basingstoke teamsheet but it was a familiar name who scored the game’s only goal. Conor Lynch’s close-range finish, his 12th of the season and 9th in the last six games, was enough to secure all three points for ‘Stoke at struggling Northwood. The goal came early in the second half, a toe poke finish that diverted Ben Cook’s cross in off the bar,… Read More »Lynch Goal Keeps ‘Stoke in Touch at the Top
