Today we received official notification that we are to be moving to the Isthmian League South Central.
For transparency, the letter read as follows…
Now that the National League System restructure at Steps 4 to 6 has been completed, we are writing to confirm the Club allocations for the 2021-22 season.
As a result of the restructure and the expansion from 7 to 8 divisions at Step 4, your Club will be laterally moved to the Isthmian League Division 1 South Central.
This means that the Step level, which now has a capacity of 160 Clubs, is to operate with 158 Clubs owing to the vacancies created when Droylsden FC withdrew last season and Moneyfields FC being granted their request to be relegated this summer.
This past year has been some of the most challenging times for football as a result of the pandemic and the uncertainty that this has brought with it. However, we enter the 2021-22 season with renewed optimism given the gradual relaxation of the national lockdown.
We would like to thank you for the effort that you, your boards, committees and countless volunteers have put in over this difficult period (and prior to it) to ensure that Clubs are in the best possible position to bounce-back.
Wishing you all the very best of the summer months and for the season ahead.
The league will be as follows:
Chalfont St Peter
Sutton Common Rovers
Tooting and Mitcham United
