Experienced defender Aidan Lewis has re-signed having joined us at the start of last season. Having had a previous spell with the club during the 08/09 season under manager Frank Gray, Aiden has also played at Thatcham Town and been part of very successful Totton and Didcot sides.
Dan Brownlie said on his first summer-signature announcement “Aidan made this decision really easy for us. He made it clear he wanted to re-sign and it goes without saying that we wanted him to return. Anyone who understands the game will appreciate that he’s a really talented defender who has a great depth of understanding, not just of his own role but of those around him. You often see him having chats with some of our younger players about how they can improve their game. His value goes far beyond the pitch. Aidan’s been working hard over the summer to get himself as fit as possible and we’ll work with him over pre-season to ensure we can get the best out of him.”
“He’s a calming influence on the group and in big moments that pays real dividends. Not only that, he is passionate about this club and it’s clear he cares. We’re really pleased to have him back and I’ve no doubt he’s going to play a big role in the season ahead.”
