Seven Days

On Tuesday evening the first team squad travel to Mangotsfield who currently sit in sixth position and boast three wins from a possible four home games. Basingstoke travel without Dean Stow who serves his last game of suspension. It’s already been confirmed that Riccardo Andrady will start the game after a string of impressive substitute performances; but arguably none better than Saturdays when he made an instant impact in setting up Zach Robinson with a beautiful pass.

For those unable to make the trip to Bristol, a game closer to home may tempt your need for football. Our U18’s host Thatcham Town at Winklebury in a 7.45pm Kick Off in the Allied Counties league (entry charged at £3 for adults)

The Academy have no midweek fixture as it’s been pushed back to the following week.

The first team are back in training as we turn our attention to Highworth Town on Saturday afternoon following what we hope will be a positive performance on Tuesday evening.

The management team will be busy preparing plans for Saturday and the Academy will be playing their weekly Harry Rice tournament at Winklebury. Brian will be preparing the kit and we also look forward to the return of Jack Collins who has been away on holiday.

We host Highworth Town FC in a three o’clock kick off in what will be Dan Brownlie’s first home game of the season in his newly appointed position. Highworth who at the time of writing currently sit in tenth position will benefit from an extra days rest with no midweek fixture. Dean Stow will be available for selection following his three match ban.

And we chilled on Sunday.
