Basingstoke Town return to league action tomorrow afternoon as we make the early morning trip to Paulton Rovers to ready ourselves for a 12.30pm kick off. The early kick off is due ‘Rovers’ hosting a firework display in the evening.
Dan Brownlie will be buoyed by the availability of Harrison Cliff and Ben Wright who both return from injury and Ryan Suckling is back following a three game suspension. To gain some match sharpness, Ryan Suckling completed 90 minutes for Badshot Lea when they hosted their league leaders Ascot United.
The only known absentees will be D’andre Brown (ankle) and Reuben Collins (groin). Reuben is expected to be out for around four weeks and will complete his rehab at his parent club AFC Wimbledon.
Manager, Dan Brownlie on his thoughts before the game:
‘It’s going to undoubtedly be a tough test – but it will be a good opportunity for the boys to play a team who are considered to be one of the best in the league and see where we are as a unit. We’ve had a good week’s preparation for the game and with a few players coming back in – it will freshen things up again. It goes without saying that everyone will need to be at it, we won’t be able to carry any passengers. We’ll go there fighting for another positive result.”
