Coming Up…

Here’s a look at what’s coming up over the next seven days for #BTFC

There may not be a Southern League fixture during this midweek, but there is plenty going on in the wonderful world of #BTFC, with the first team, Academy, Under-18s and junior teams all in action.

Take a look below at what lies ahead for the Blues over the next seven days…

The first team are in for their first official training session at the new Winklebury complex where Dan Brownlie is due to take his second session as caretaker manager. D’andre Brown trained with the academy for the first time this morning as is due to take part in the First Team session. Jordan Edwards still remains sidelined but will be working with Gideon (Physio) this week to ensure a positive return to training in the next few weeks. Ben Cook (thigh) and Adam Everiss (Foot) are unlikely to train following slight knocks picked up at the weekends nil all draw with AFC Totton.

Alfie Saunders has been asked to play for Forest Green U23’s against Southend FC but will return to our first team squad for training on Thursday evening.

Reuben Collins will be with AFC Wimbledon amongst first team players as they take on MET Police in the London Senior Cup but will be back available for selection on Saturday afternoon following his brief one game suspension.

In South Div One action Frome Town host Slimbridge and Winchester travel away to Mangotsfield United.

Basingstoke Academy are in action in the afternoon hosting Cirencester in a 1:00PM KO at Winklebury in what will be their opening game of the season. First team player Aiden Harris is expected to feature.

The first team look forward to their second session of the week in preparation for the weekends FA Trophy fixture versus North Leigh FC who currently sit 12th in the Division One Central.

The academy take part in their weekly Harry Rice in house tournament. Brian Parsons & Jack Collins are busy sorting the kit for the first team at the weekend and the management will finalise details for the squad ready for the game.

The first team travel to North Leigh FC in the FA Trophy. Captain Dean Stow serves his second game of his three match ban but a return for Reuben Collins who is available for selection.

We’ll update the Junior Youth games when we have final confirmation.

And we chilled on Sunday.

It is unclear at the moment. It was hoped by the end of the year, but could now be January or later. The Owner of the ground is doing very little to help us achieve our ground requirements.
